
- Practice Experience:
Ms. Luo leads Lung Tin’ s US practice and is a leading Chinese patent law expert as recognized by clients and her peers.
Ms. Luo received her J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis. While at law school, she was top 10% in the patent law class and top 15% in the oral argument at the Moot Court Competition. In the summer of 2002, she extern clerked for the honorable Judge Kowenski at the Supreme Court of New York at Buffalo. Ms. Luo’ s practice focuses on patent prosecution, opinion, litigation and transaction for pharmaceutical, chemical, medical device, and electrical inventions. Her legal career includes experience in a globally recognized law firm (Kenyon and Kenyon, NYC) and also experience as in house corporate counsel at fortune 500 companies in the United States.
While at Kenyon and Kenyon, Ms. Luo prosecuted pharmaceutical, chemical, medical device and semiconductor/LED inventions and prepared patentability, infringement, validity, freedom-to-operate, and inventor-ship opinions. On leaving private practice, she was employed by L'Oreal and later Eastman as in-house counsel. In corporate practice, she continued her work on patent prosecution, opinions and litigations and also took on a substantial number of matters in licensing and technology transfer. Specifically, Ms. Luo has actively led/participated in China related work including patent prosecution, due diligence, opinion, invalidation, and litigation. She has assisted a number of multinational clients in obtaining, defending, and enforcing intellectual property rights in China.
Ms. Luo is admitted to practice before the State of Illinois, as well as qualified to practice in front of the United State Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
